A structural engineering firm based in Haleiwa, Oahu, serving clients in Hawaii and worldwide since 2011.
The firm
Allshore Engineering, LLC is a structural engineering firm founded in 2011. The firm has completed more than 900 projects, ranging from single-family homes and additions to commercial buildings, marine structures and one-off specialty structures.
Most of our work is new design: structural calculations, construction drawings and permit support, followed by construction-phase services such as submittal review, responses to RFIs and observation. We also perform condition assessments and inspections.
For larger or specialized projects we work alongside geotechnical, civil and architectural consultants.
Joshua M. Murphree, P.E., S.E.
Structural Engineer, President
Josh has more than 20 years of experience in structural engineering and construction. His design work covers residential and commercial buildings, specialty and industrial structures, marine and coastal structures, and infrastructure. Earlier in his career he worked in marine construction project management, land development and civil design, and in building code and hazard modeling research.
He is also a certified commercial diver, which allows underwater inspection of waterfront structures when a project requires it.

Project process
Proposal
We review the architectural drawings, site and schedule, then provide a written proposal with scope and fee.
Design
Structural analysis and calculations under the current building code, including Hawaii wind, seismic and flood requirements.
Documents & permit
Stamped structural drawings and calculations, and responses to plan review comments.
Construction
Submittal review, RFI responses, structural observation and special inspection as required.
